First
night back in Kathmandu after the trek.
Again, I attempted to follow the walking tours outlined in the Lonely Planet
guide. I think I made it through most of the streets, but the lighting was so
poor and there were no signs, so I couldn't easily track which place I was in
front of.
The boy in the third floor window came down during the second shot.
A little curbside fire is a good way to warm sandal-clad feet.
I finally captured this man's face.
Waiting to close.
These are along Kanthipur.
Moving in towards Indra Chowk.
Sacred cows may or may not make the best burgers, but they sometimes make interesting
photo subjects.
Some vendor portraits as they close up shop.
Auto Exposure
Underexposed manual.
A bit better
I went insied here with hopes to get a picture of the shrine, which was quite
colorful. Unfortunately, and quite understandably, the caretakers insisted I
not take any photos and they watched me constantly.
Across the street was this Ganesh shrine.
I ended up in a section of the street given to tailor shops.
Another colorful doorway.
I hope that's a vegetable dye in those papadums.
